LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– John Vernon Griffin, 46, of 7157 Martin Rd., Fountain, was found guilty June 12 of disorderly person – urinating in public and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs.

– Sky Angel Hobbs, 23, of 708 E. 5th St., Ludington, was found guilty June 12 of disorderly person and sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for three months and $285 in fines and costs.

– Kendra Michelle Archey, 26, of 762 W. Meisenheimer, Scottville, was found guilty June 12 of no alcohol in park after 9 p.m. and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

– Aleshia Marie Smith, 26, of 5495 S. Scottville Rd., Scottville, was found guilty June 12 of no alcohol in park after 9 p.m. and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

– Frank Andrew Dambroseo, 31, of 1307 S. Sherman, was found guilty June 12 of driver transporting open intoxicants and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Christopher George Bevier, 29, of 115 W. State St., Apt. 201, Scottville, was found guilty June 12 of driver transporting open intoxicants and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Sara Danielle Copenhaver, 24, of 108 S. Columbia Ave., Scottville, was found guilty June 12 of no alcohol in park after 9 p.m. and sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

– Jesus Lara, 34, of 4851 N. Cleveland St., Fountain, was found guilty June 17 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing and assault and battery. He was ordered to report to jail this weekend and continue for eight consecutive weekends; one year discretionary jail for two years for Count I; 93 days discretionary jail for two years for Count II; no alcohol/drugs; random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $1,160 in fines and costs.

– Joseph Benjamin Terhaar, 28, of 3160 N. Amber Rd., Scottville, was found guilty June 17 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 12 days in jail (weekends); one year discretionary jail for two years; driver’s license suspended one year; no alcohol/drugs; random PBTs; substance abuse evaluation; and $580 in fines and costs.

– Casey Michael Fisher, 37, of 939 E. Decker Rd., Scottville, was found guilty June 17 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; must complete counseling program with Work It Out; $265 in fines and costs; and no contact with victim. One count of interfering with an electronic communication device was dismissed.

– Jennifer June Bowman, 31, of 502 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty June 17 of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,245 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; must complete counseling with Community Mental Health (CMH); random PBTs; and must attend the Victims’ Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

– Jake Gustave Soller, 23, of 6230 W. Bryant Rd., Ludington, one count of failure to stop after a collision was dismissed June 10. “The ends of justice do not require further prosecution at this time,” court records state.

– Maura Sue Gilbert, 25, of 2343 N. US-31, one count of no alcohol in park after 9 p.m. was dismissed June 12.
