Motorcyclist arrested for drunk driving after he crashes cycle at county line

RIVERTON TWP. — A 63-year-old Ludington man was arrested Saturday morning and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after the man crashed his motorcycle near the intersection of Scottville and Washington roads at the Mason-Oceana counties line.

The crash occurred because the man apparently failed to negotiate the curves in the road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. He received minor injuries.

– 9:46 p.m.: A 46-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for OWI, first offense, following a traffic stop at Custer and Decker roads, Sherman Twp.

– 3:43 p.m.: Car/tree crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Hwy. near U.S. 31 expressway, P.M. Twp.

– 9:13 p.m.: Larceny, 800 block of West First St., Amber Twp. Case closed.

May 31, 2014:

– 3:01 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Stiles Rd., Amber Twp.

– 1:44 p.m.: Assist with traffic, U.S. 10 and P.M. Hwy., P.M. Twp., oil spilled in roadway.

– 6:48 P.M.: Gas drive off of $25.11, Scottville EZ Mart, 400 block of East U.S. 10, Custer Twp.

– 7:33 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Fountain & Petersen roads, Victory Township.

– 7:48 p.m.: Gas drive off of $13.85,  Wesco East Gate, 5600 block of West U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 8:11 p.m.: A 48-year-old Scottville man was arrested for a friend of the court warrant from Osceola County (arrears of $61,811) following a traffic stop at Beyer and Stiles roads, Victory Twp.

– 8:24 p.m.: Gas drive off of $21.84 at Airport EZ Mart, 5400 block of W. US10, Pere Marquette Township.

– 9:20 p.m.: Car/Deer crash, no injuries, U.S.31 Freeway and Pere Marquette Hwy, Pere Marquette Township.

– 9:24 PM: Car/Deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 Freeway and Pere Marquette Hwy, Pere Marquette Township, driver hit dead deer in the road from previous crash.

– 10:30 p.m.: Car/Deer crash, no injuries, Quarterline and Nurnberg roads, Grant Township.

June 1

– 3:06 a.m.: A 43-year-old Montague man was cited for driving while license suspended, first offense, following a traffic stop at U.S. 31 and Conrad Rd., Amber Twp.

– 7:59 a.m.: Alarm activation, 200 block of South Main St., City of Scottville.

– 11:11 a.m.: Breaking and entering, 200 block of West Hansen Rd., Amber Twp. Two firearms stolen.

– 3:13 p.m.: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, Wildwood south of U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

– 8:50 p.m.: A 21-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two outstanding failure to appear warrants, one from Ludington Police Dept. and one from MCSO, in the 6700 block of Hermitage Rd., Hamlin Twp.
