PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — On May 28 troopers from the Michigan State Police Hart Post began an investigation into the theft of coins from West Coast Car Wash located on Pere Marquette Highway, south of US-10.  The investigation revealed that two male subjects went to the car wash after hours and approached the dollar bill changer.  The suspects put a paper bill into the machine and another object causing an override in the coin dispenser.  The suspects were able to obtain an undisclosed amount of quarters from the machine.  No damage was done to the machine in the process.

West CoastThe suspects are described as two males, one white and the other unknown.  They are believed to be approximately 19 to 25 years of age.  The suspects arrived at the scene in a red or maroon colored Chrysler Sebring four door.  The theft occurred on May 28, between 5 and 5:40 a.m.
