LUDINGTON – The following were sentenced his past week in 79th District Court:

–       Derek Michael Johnson, 24, of 808 S. Madison St., Ludington, was found guilty, May 12, of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

–       Debra Ann Mohr, 55, of 6101 N. Stephens, Free Soil, was found guilty, May 12, of failure to report an accident and sentenced to $325 in fines and costs. Restitution is reserved.

–       Melissa Marie Hornacek, 25, of 96 Emerson Lake Dr., Walhalla, was found guilty, May 12, of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–       Steven Matthew Amy, 42, of 5317 N. Thunderbird Dr., Fountain, was found guilty, May 12, of DWLS and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $580 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–       Corey Evan Carsten, 28, homeless, Ludington, was found guilty, May 7, of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; $285 in fines and costs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests.

–       Loren Christopher Cunningham, 40, of 975 Washington Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty, May 6, of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and improper registration, failure to transfer. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served for each count; $755 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years for Count I; 90 days discretionary jail for two years for Count II; and driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days. Convictions reportable to SOS. One count of no insurance was dismissed.

–       Kevin Alan North, 22, of 122 S. Wildwood Crossing, Apt. 18, Ludington, was found guilty, May 6, of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,245 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–       Raymond Allen-Thomas Maycock, 33, of 995 7th St., Baldwin, was found guilty, May 8, of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–       Alexa Marie Johnson, 19, of 1506 Walhalla Rd., Walhalla, was found guilty, May 8, of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), second offense. She was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs; 10 hours of community service in lieu of $100; must attend Victims’ Impact Panel; and no alcohol/drugs.

–       Cloe Leiann Baerwolf, 17, of 3919 Linke Rd., Manistee, was found guilty, May8, of smoking, use/possess tobacco and sentenced to $185 in fines and costs or 20 hours community service. She may request to have matter removed from her record upon completion of condition of sentence.

–       Joshua Wayne VanLoon, 30, of 610 E. Foster St., Ludington, was found guilty, May 6, of impaired driving. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) twice a week for one year; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–       Kendra Kay Lamunyon, 46, of 1501 Lakeshore Rd., Manistee, was found guilty, May 6, of DWLS and sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; $580 in fines and costs; and one year discretionary jail for two years. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–       Wesley Donald Hackert, 28, of 295 ½ 5th St., Manistee, was found guilty, May 6, of malicious destruction of a building less than $200 and sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $664.83 in fines, costs and restitution.

–       Xaviera Clarice Stockwell, 34, of 507 Sixth St., Ludington, was found guilty, May 14, of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. She was sentenced to 17 days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; $580 in fines and costs; subject to random drugs tests two times a week; must cooperate with Child Protective Services; must have a substance abuse evaluation; and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissal

–       David Lee Zimmer, 41, of 619 S. Tyndall Rd., Branch, one count of domestic violence was dismissed, May 12. “Defendant is acquitted on all charges after a trial by judge,” court records state.
