Fountain man accidentally shoots himself in hand

FREE SOIL TWP. — An 87-year-old Fountain man accidentally shot himself in the hand Monday afternoon while attempting to load a gun. Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office, along with medical first responders from Free Soil/Meade Fire Department and EMTs from Life EMS ambulance responded to the 3900 block of East Townline Road at 4:56 p.m.

– 12:22 a.m.: Alarm activation, 6800 W. Dewey, Hamlin Twp.

– 1:45 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles and Townline roads, Victory Twp.

– 6:12 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 expressway and Chauvez Rd., Summit Twp.

– 6:35 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles and Dewey roads, Victory Twp.

– 7:10 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Rybicki and Countyline roads, Free Soil Twp.

– 7:35 a.m.: Damaged property, 5800 block of West U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 3:19 p.m.:  A 27-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for retail fraud, 3900 W. U.S. 10, Amber Twp..

– 5:32 p.m.: Disturbance, Lancer Lane, P.M. Twp. Child out of control.

– 6:11 p.m.: A 39-year-old Ludington man was arrested for bond revocation arrest, 500 block of East First St., City of Ludington. The court revoked his bond from a domestic violence charge.

– 7:55 p.m.: Marine assist, Lake Michigan near Bass Lake, Summit Twp. Marine Patrol assisted in search of an overdue boater out of the Whitehall area. Case closed.
