Police catch up with domestic assault suspect

PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 25-year-old Ludington man for domestic violence third offense Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. The arrest was the result of an incident that took place Monday, April 28 in the Juniper Hills neighborhood. Several law enforcement agencies, led by Michigan State Police, were in search of the man following a domestic assault incident. He was arrested in the 5400 block of West U.S. 10.

Other activity of the MCSO from Thursday, May 1 included:

  • 6 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Scottville and Kistler roads, Eden Twp.
  • 2:35 p.m.: 2-vehicle broadside crash, minor injuries, Jebavy Dr. and Rasmussen Rd., Pere Marquette Twp. A 79-year-old Ludington woman received a minor injury.
  • 7:24 p.m.: A 42-year-old Fountain man was arrested for driving while license suspended second arrest following a traffic stop at Campbell and Stolberg roads, Sheridan Twp.
