79th District Court sentences, as of Feb. 26, 2014

LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:

–         Amy Lucinda Phillips, 35, of 237 6th Ave., Apt. 427, Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 6 of improper registration, failure to transfer and sentenced to fines and costs of $175.

–         Richard Grant Sanders, 26, of 209 W. First St., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 13 of recreational trespass and sentenced to $235 in fines and costs.

–         John Delano Bergez, 41, of 4743 E. Free Soil Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Feb. 13 of recreational trespass and sentenced to $235 in fines and costs.

–         Brandon Matthew Jablonski, 21, of 7157 E. Martin Rd., Fountain, was found guilty Feb. 10 of improper registration, failure to transfer and sentenced to fines and costs of $175. One count of operating a motor vehicle without security and one count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) were dismissed in a plea agreement.

Dismissals

–         Sarah Agnes Thorne, 30, of 5926 W. Meisenheimer Rd., Ludington, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed. “Defendant is in substantial compliance,” court records state.

–         Delwin Joseph Hayhoe, 81, of 653 Filer Ave., Filer City, one count of assault and battery was dismissed. “Defendant has been deemed incompetent to stand trial with no likelihood of re-gaining competence.”
