79th District Court sentences as of Feb. 19, 2014

LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced in front of Judge Peter Wadel this past week in 79th District Court:
–         Ryan Scott Kallioinen, 31, of 1160 W US-10, Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 18 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
–         Charles Anthony Wieand-Foley, 21, of 501 N. Washington Ave., Spt. 2, Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 18 of retail fraud, third degree. He was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for 18 days served; $580 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of the Economic Crime Program; and $580 in fines and costs.
–         Hillary Lynn Williams, 35, of 406 E. foster St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 18 of receiving and concealing stolen property. She was sentenced to $1,540 in fines, costs and restitution; and one year discretionary jail for two years.
–         Kenneth LaVerne Graves, 85, of 1004 Ireland Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 18 of moving violation causing serious impairment of a body function. He was sentenced to $1,434 in restitution and $580 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–         Michele Eileen Howell, 46, of 2893 N. Tuttle Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 14 of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–         Mark Alan Saporita-Fargo, 44, of 2430 N. 18th St., Fountain, was found guilty Feb. 13 of DWLS and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–         Mark Evan Brody, 51, of 6044 W. Jagger Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 13 of recreational trespass and sentenced to $235 in fines and costs.
–         Alexander Ian McCallum, 23, of 6110 W. Decker Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 11 of failure to display a valid a license and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of DWLS was dismissed.
–         Brian Keith Blackburn, 24, no address listed, was found guilty Feb. 11 of malicious destruction of a building less than $200. He was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; $680 in fines, costs and restitution; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). He was also found guilty of disorderly person, public intoxication and sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 15 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $285 in fines and costs.
–         Tyrone Garner, 51, of 406 E. Foster St., Apt. 2, Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 11 of second-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for 15 days served; $740 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; and not to possess weapons.
–         Bruce Gordon Janowiak, 52, of 386 11th St., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 11 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served;  Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); $1,145 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend the next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–         Jayme Michele Saunders, 18, of 3569 W. Jefferson Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Feb. 11 of impaired driving and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; AHSE; $1,145 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend the next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–         Brandon Ryan Hoolihan, 33, of 610 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 11 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 26 days in jail with credit for 26 days served; $580 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $580 in fines and costs; and no contact with victim.
–         Erik Axel Mott, 21, of c/o 267 1st Ave., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 11 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and must not possess weapons. One count of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) was dismissed.
–         Dwight Robert Hall, 28, of 7161 N. Tuttle Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Feb. 11 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; $580 in fines and costs; and one year discretionary jail for two years. Driver’s license suspended 365 days/restricted 305 days.
–         Benjamin August Miller, 44, of 804 E. Filer St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 11 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of Victims Impact Panel; and $1,145 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–         Al Curtis Hairston, 46, of 236 W. Forest Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 10 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.
–         Mark Matthew Kepple, 36, of 4454 W. Hansen Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 10 of failure to display a valid license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs; seven days in jail with credit for seven days served; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
 
Dismissals
–         Nicole Renee Bickel, 29, of 7044 N. 92nd Ave., Hart, one count of DWLS was dismissed Feb. 10. “Ends of justice do not require prosecution,” court records state.
–         Joseph John-Allen Cantu, 18, of 1206 Drent Rd., Muskegon, one count of minor in possession was dismissed in a plea agreement.
