Light exhibit begins March 6 at art center

February 19, 2014

LUDINGTON – Ludington Area Center for the Arts opens a new exhibit in its Main Gallery on Thursday, March 6.  Sixteen artists offer nearly 30 works inspired by their interpretation of “Light.”  The pieces range from the traditional play of light and shadow to other less common meanings.  According to Linda Sandow, one of the show’s organizers, “We wanted to offer something to bridge the darkness of winter and the coming of spring.”  The exhibit is scheduled to run through April 26.

A public reception for the Light Show is scheduled for Friday, March 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Main Gallery.  In addition, the winner of this year’s Todd & Brad Reed Online Photo Contest will be announced at this reception.

Entries are being accepted for the photo contest through March 2.  An entry fee of $15 allows you to enter up to three images.  Entries submitted March 1 and 2 will be subject to a $20 entry fee.  To enter, visit www.ludingtonartscenter.org.  Direct any questions to Todd & Brad Reed Photography at 231-843-0777.
