Quiz Bowl begins this week

VICTORY TWP. – The West Shore High School Quiz Bowl will be held on February 21 and 28, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Center Stage Theater on the West Shore Community College campus.

Competition for the class B and C schools will be held on Feb. 21 and class D schools will compete on Feb. 28.

The double elimination tournament will proceed throughout each day with championship matches expected to be held at about 1:30 p.m.  Results will be posted on the College’s web site, www.westshore.edu, as games are completed.

The Quiz Bowl, now in its 27th year, is a project of the West Shore Educational Service District and the Manistee Intermediate School District.  The WSCC Foundation, who sponsors the event, provides scholarships to a senior of the top schools in each division.
