79th District Court sentences as of Feb. 12

LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:
–         Charles Keith Moody, 47, of 3325 9th St., Muskegon, was found guilty Feb. 4 of disorderly person, disturbing the peace. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 90 days served; $580 in fines and costs; and no contact with victim. One count of interfering with electronic communications was dismissed.
–         Bryce Thomas Madill, 45, of 2821 Packard Highway, Charlotte, Mich., was found guilty Feb. 4 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel; and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
–         Joseph John Gustafson, 40, of 5053 W. Kistler Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–                     Brent James Borscherdt, 35, of 4600 Udell Hills Rd., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 4 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–                     Allen Perry Mears, 44, of 110 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of attempted assault/resist/obstruct a police officer and operating with a blood alcohol content over .17. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,925 in fines and costs; AHSE; one year discretionary jail for two years for Count I; 180 days discretionary jail for two years for Count II; must attend Impact Weekend and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance was dismissed.
–                     Lindsey Ann Secor, 23, of 210 Clifford St., Lansing, was found guilty Feb. 6 of alcohol ban – Cartier Park: Macker and sentenced to $360 in fines and costs.
–                     Paulette Lynn Salazar, 29, of 309 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of welfare fraud $500 or less. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $31,049.10 in restitution; $580 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for two years.
–                     Alexis Antonio Hloros, 34, of 22813 Nona, Dearborn, was found guilty Feb. 4 of second –offense domestic violence. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must obtain anger management counseling and follow recommendations; no contact with victim; and $580 in fines and costs.
–                     Brian Lee Powell, 6326 Russell St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must have an anger management evaluation and follow recommendations; ; must obtain anger management counseling; no contact with victim; and $740 in fines and costs.
–                     Cindy Lee Allen, 47, of 3857 S. Morton Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 4 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; and driver’s license suspended 356 days/restricted 305 days.
–                     Raymond Earl Browning, 49, of 6574 Sterling Ct., Garden City, Mich., was found guilty Feb. 4 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; $580 in fines and costs; and driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days.
 
Dismissal

–         Christopher Todd Bower, 43, of 3784 W. Hidden Forest Dr., Ludington, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security and one count of operating with no license/multiple license were dismissed per a plea agreement Feb. 7.
