Ice open youth fishing school registration

January 15, 2014

The Youth Fishing School is a free event for kids between the ages of 5 and 14.

The sessions begin at Hamlin Town Hall where anglers provide ice fishing and safety tips. Kids also have the opportunity to view the electronics that the fisherman use.  A school bus will transport everyone to the ice for an opportunity to fish with experienced anglers.  Youth participants will also receive a goodie bag with a pole, jig, bait, and other items.

The Michigan Ice Open Kids Day is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 2, 2014.  There will be two sessions with limited space available so get your registration in early.

Registration is required and will be accepted at the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce or by downloading the registration/waiver and release form from www.michiganiceopen.com and faxing it to 231.845.6857. For more information, contact the Chamber of Commerce office by calling 231.845.0324.
