The ball drop has received a facelift this year and as a result the event space is now larger offering greater space for attendees to ring in the new year.

Attendees of drinking age will be able to have alcoholic beverages on Ludington Avenue this year. This event remains free to everyone attending regardless of age. For those who choose to have an alcoholic beverage, there will be ID checkpoint entrances at the specific locations. Attendees who provide their ID will receive a tag noting you are 21 years of age and older.

Entrances will be located at the following intersections:

  • North James Street and Court Street

  • South James Street and the alley intersection between Instrumental Music & Luciano’s Restoranti

  • Harrison Street and Ludington Avenue

  • Rath Avenue and Ludington Avenue

Drink tokens will be available for purchase near the Ball Drop and can be used in exchange for a selection of Ludington Beverage products at the outdoor bar located in James Street Plaza.
