The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for this area from 9 p.m. tonight until 10 p.m. Saturday.

Snowfall will increase in coverage and intensity tonight and continue until Saturday. East winds will increase to around 20 mph late tonight and continue on Saturday. Three to five inches of snow is expected by Saturday evening with locally higher amounts possible southeast of I-69.

Impacts will include:
Travel inconveniences as roads will be snow covered and slippery; visibilities will be reduced to a few car lengths at times; drifting snow will impact snow plowing efforts on north-south roads in open areas.

Drivers should adjust speeds based on conditions and to drive slower on ice and snow.
