2 men arrested for parole violation after smoking pot in car

Sheriff’s Report, December 2, 2013.

PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Mason County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men Monday night for parole violations. The arrest occurred at Jebavy Drive Apartments on North Jebavy Drive at 9:24 p.m. Deputies were on foot at the complex when they made contact with a vehicle they witnessed pull into the parking lot. They noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and, upon making contact, the occupants both admitted to smoking it.

Both the 47-year-old and 42-year-old men were on parole from Mason County. Parole agents were contacted and both men were arrested and lodged in Mason County jail.

Other activity of the sheriff’s office from November 2, 2013 include:

– 5:15 a.m.: Alarm activation, East Young Road, Branch Township.

– 6:15 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road and First Street, Amber Twp.

– 12:15 p.m.: Damaged mailbox, 1100 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Twp.

– 5:17 p.m.: Retail fraud arrest, Wal-Mart, PM Twp.; 44-year-old Fountain male fled scene on foot and was arrested a short time later by deputies.
