Motorcyclist injured after striking deer

RIVERTON TWP. — A 38-year-old Scottville man was airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids Tuesday night after the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer on Washington Road near Darr Road. Frederick Holden was transported by Oceana County EMS to the Oceana County Airport following the accident. The incident occurred about 8:20 p.m.

Mason County Sheriff’s Office and Riverton Twp. Fire Department also responded. The crash remains under investigation.
