Ludington school board to discuss custodian transition tonight

August 26, 2013

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Schools Board of Education will discuss the transition of custodial services from district-employed to a private company during its regular meeting tonight at 6 p.m.

Earlier this month, the board made the decision to hire Grand Rapids Building Services in replace of district employees. The change is supposed to save the district an estimated $500,000 over three years.

Superintendent Andrea Large has said that more than 24 local residents have applied with the company.
