Lakeshore Civic Players announce upcoming season

LUDINGTON — The Lakeside Civic Players group has announced its line-up for the 2013/2014 season. This is the third full season the players group has formally put in place since its formation in 2009.

The Ludington based theatre group has grown exponentially since 2009 and will take on five productions in the upcoming season.

All show times will be at 7 p.m., Sunday matinees will be held at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 in advance $15 at the door. Tickets for February’s musical are $20 in advance $22 at the door.

The 2012/2013 season will consist of:

Vagina Monologues:

Sept. 20, 21 & 22    Location: A&M Galleries: Saturday concessions to benefit COVE

Auditions: Sunday August 11 at 7 p.m. at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me:

November 1, 2, 8, 9, and 10   Location: A&M Galleries

A Year with Frog & Toad:

Dates: December 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15   Location: Ludington Area Center for the Art

Auditions: October 7 and 8 Call backs October 9

Tickets for kids 12 and under are: $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Title of Show:

Dates: February 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 Location: Ludington Area Center for the Art

Leaving Iowa:

Dates: April 25, 26, 27 and May 2, 3, 4   Location: Ludington Area Center for the Art

By the use of live theatre, it is the Lakeside Civic Players goal to entertain, educate and enrich our culture while creating an artistic outlet for the Ludington area community.

The Lakeside Civic Players will once again be offering a season ticket package for the 2013/2014 season. The package of eight tickets for the cost of $8 will be available for sale beginning Aug. 31, 2013. A limited number of ticket packages will be sold. The season ticket package entitles the holder to eight tickets, which can be used at any show listed above.  Reservations for show dates are required.
