PENTWATER – Todd Myers of Hesperia has been hired as the operations manager for Mason-Oceana 911. The newly created position replaces the previous title of systems administrator, a position vacated by new Director Ray Hasil.

Hasil was promoted to director when previous director Rich Feole resigned to accept an assistant director position down state and be closer to family.

The operations manager will encompass all of the radio, data, telephony, and networking previously handled by the systems administrator and will add administration responsibilities as technology needs are learned and mastered.

Myers was previously assistant director of Newaygo County Central Dispatch from 2008 to 2012 and had been serving as interim director in 2013 while the search for a new director was conducted.

“Our two centers (Mason-Oceana and Newaygo) are quite similar in the technologies we use”, said Hasil. “Mason-Oceana had worked with Todd on different projects over the years. We were looking for someone with lots of 911 technology experience that could also bridge into management.”

Myers is also Hesperia Varsity Football head coach. Today was his first day with Mason-Oceana.
