Teens arrested for safe breaking, home invasion

LUDINGTON — Two Ludington teens were arraigned recently for safe breaking and home invasion. Kaine Alexander Linstrom, 17, 418 N. Ferry St., and a 16-year-old Ludington male were arrested following two incidences, Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett told MCP.

The first incident occurred Feb. 28 in the 400 block of East Ludington Avenue. The other incident happened either March 2 or 3 in the 300 block of North Emily street.

Linstrom was arraigned for home invasion second degree and safe breaking. He is currently lodged at the Mason County jail awaiting a pre-trial hearing on March 27 at 11:15 a.m. Magistrate Paddy Baker set bond at $50,000.

The 16-year-old was lodged by juvenile court for a violation of his probation and will be charged with home invasion and safe breaking, along with an additional charge for second home invasion, Barnett said.

Both suspects have made statements linking them to the B&E and have been found in possession of the money from the safe, Barnett said.

Additional charges connected with the casesare possible.
