LUDINGTON — The following proceedings took place this week in the 79th District Court.

– Danny Dee Gipe, 51, 2227 N. Holiday Dr., Mears, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for driving while license suspended. He was sentenced to two days in jail and one year discretionary jail for one year along with $580 in fines and costs.
– Mark Vincent Scwab, 53, 3065 N. Reed Rd., Fountain, was found guilty on Feb. 26 of retail fraud third degree. He was sentenced to two days in jail and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. He must attend the economic crime program and pay $580 in fines and costs.
– Anthony Lee Knight, 20, 610 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for operating a vehicle while under the influence of liquor, underaged. He was sentenced to 30 hours of community service for a $300 credit towards $2,167 in fines and costs. He also must attend the Victim’s Impact Panel.
– Jordan Evan Yeck, 22, 102 N. Robert St., Ludington, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to two days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Victim’s Impact Panel; must attend alcohol highway safety education and pay $1,145 in costs and fines.
– Nicholas Wayne Partridge, 26, 155 E. 48th St., Lot 49, Holland, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for unlawful escaping while in custody. He was sentenced to 99 days in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; $580 in fines and costs.
– Cheryl Ann Bailey, 56, 104 E. Whittier St., Ludington, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for retail fraud third degree. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $580 in fines and costs.
– Chad Jason Miller, 42, 404 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for driving while license suspended or revoked. He was sentenced to 29 days jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; $740 in fines and costs.
– Richard Patrick Winters, 43, 149 S. Stephens Ave., Fountain, was found guilty on Feb. 26 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to two days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Victim’s Impact Panel; must attend alcohol highway safety education; $1,145 fines and costs.
– Daniel James Rodriguez Jr., 35, 306 Third St., Ludington, was found guilty on Sept. 18 for writing a non-sufficient funded check. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must pay $2,330.88 in fines, costs and restitution. An additional charge of non-sufficient funds was dismissed.
– Renate Marie Riggs, 40, 225 W. Millerton Rd., Victory Twp., was found guilty on Feb. 28 for driving a vehicle while license suspended. She was ordered to pay $285 in fines and costs.
– Thomas Jay Sutton, 18, 151 Monroe St., Manistee, was found guilty on Feb. 28 for minor in possession of alcohol second offense. He was sentenced to perform 20 hours of community service; $335 in fines and costs.
– Charles Andrew Weber, 57, 119 N. Gordon Rd., Amber Twp., was found guilty on Feb. 28 for transporting an open intoxicant while driving. He was ordered to pay $265 in fines and costs.
– Theodore Jeremiah Redom, 27, 4357 Louise St., Muskegon, was found guilty on Feb. 28 for transporting an open intoxicant while driving. He was ordered to pay $265 in fines and costs.
– Todd Raymond Bassett, 48, 4271 N. Reed Rd., Fountain, was found guilty on March 4 for allowing a person to drive in violation. He was ordered to pay $335 in fines and costs.
– Neal Barton Guss, 20, 2250 E. Johnson Rd., Branch, was found guilty on March 4 for allowing a person to drive in violation. He was ordered to pay $335 in fines and costs.
– Judith Rae Carstens, 56, 2125 N. U.S. 31, Scottville, was found guilty on March 4 for operating under the influence of liquor. She was sentenced to 48 days in jail; 180 days discretionary jail for two years; must complete all aftercare programs following completion of inpatient treatment; must perform 20 hours community service; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous three times per week for two years; must pay $1,345 in fines and costs. An additional charge of OUIL was dismissed.
– Jose Elias Chavez, 20, 309 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was found guilty on March 5 for breaking and entering. He was sentenced to six days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $580.
– Sarah Kaye Stepka, 24, 2092 E. U.S. 10, Custer, was found guilty on March 5 for OUIL. She was sentenced to one day in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Victim’s Impact Panel; 12 months probation; $1,170.
– Stephanie Jo White, 29, 613 E. Dowland St., Ludington, was found guilty on March 5 for OUIL. She was sentenced to one day in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; Victim’s Impact Panel; substance abuse counseling; 12 months probation; $1,305.
– David Robert Southern, 35, 5219 Royce Rd., St. Louis, Mich., was found guilty on March 6 for larceny. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; 12 months probation. An additional charge of larceny was dismissed.
– Kristen Brook Duggan, 25, 1085 Pineway St., Ludington, was found guilty on March 5 for larceny. She was sentenced to four days jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; economic crime program; 12 months probation; $580. An additional charge of stealing a financial transaction device was dismissed.
– Lindsey June Buck, 29, 911 N. Emily St., Apt. A4, Ludington, was found guilty on March 5 of retail fraud second degree. She was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for two years; economic crime program; 12 months probation; $580.
– William Geoffrey Buchanan, 24, 207 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was found guilty on March 5 for domestic violence. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $1,207.40.
– Angela Ruth Smith, 41, 975 W. Washington Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty on March 5 for controlled substance use. She was sentenced to one day in jail; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months probation; $580. An additional charge of controlled substance use was dismissed.
– Thomas Donal Shepard, 54, 501 N. Lavinia St., Ludington, was found guilty on March 5 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; Victim’s Impact Panel; alcohol highway safety education; $1,170.
– Lucy Anne Vanica, 26, 310 S. Main St., Custer, was found guilty on March 5 for OUIL. She was sentenced to one day in jail; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; Victim’s Impact Panel; outpatient counseling; 12 months probation; $1,245.
