District court sentences

 LUDINGTON – The following people appeared in front of Judge Peter Wadel recently in 79th District Court.

– Ernest Johan-Robert Daughtry, 28, 1798 W. U.S. 10, Amber Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 18 for domestic violence. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 93 days discretionary jail for 2 years, outpatient treatment and $580 in fines. A count of malicious destruction to a building was dismissed.

– Krista Michele Rodriguez, 35, 306 Third St., Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for writing a check with non-sufficient funds. She was ordered to 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year and $2,330.88 in fines and restitution. Another charge of NSF was dismissed.

– Matthew Louis Bruce, 44, 6992 E. U.S. 10, Fountain, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for driving while license suspended/revoked and for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, second offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail along with 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years, must provide proof of sale of vehicle within 21 days, must attend Impact Weekend and follow recommendations of program, must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations, must attend Alcoholics Anonymous two times per week for two years, must perform 30 days community service, must not use or buy alcohol or illicit drugs, may not possess medical marijuana card, $2,305 in fines. A count of OUIL third offense was dismissed.

– Julie Ann Martin, 36, 2788 E. Hoague Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for assault and battery. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year and $580 in fines. A charge of aggravated assault was dismissed.

– Michael Lee Dwyer, 24, 7127 Martin Rd., Fountain, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for assault and battery. He was sentenced to 5 days in jail, 93 days discretionary jail for 2 years, must complete 40 hours community service within 90 days instead of paying fines/costs, outpatient treatment.

– Cora J. Libby, 44, 475 Sixth St., Baldwin, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for operating while impaired by liquor. She was sentenced to 2 days in jail, 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year, must attend Victims Impact Panel, may perform 54 hours of community service instead of paying fines of $550, must complete Alcohol Highway Safety Education.

– Austin Dean Bunce, 20, 1774 Independence Ave., Amber Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 18 for impaired driving. He was sentenced to 1 day in jail, 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year, must attend Victims Impact Panel, must attend Alcohol Highway Safety Education, $920 in fines.

– Donald Keith Martinez, 26, 202 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was found guilty on Dec. 18 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 28 days in jail, 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year, must attend AA three times per week for one year, must not buy/use alcohol or illicit drugs, $580 fines.

– Robert Charles Ogilvie, 57, 6041 N. Reed Rd., Fountain, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for controlled substance use of marijuana. He was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for six months, must not apply for or become a care provider, must forfeit all marijuana and growing equipment, $580 fines.

– Bennett Williams Harrison, 21, 6504 W. Duneview, Hamlin Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 18 for operating while intoxicated second offense. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for two years, $1,545.

  • Phillip Michael Cuti, 22, was found guilty on Dec. 18 for attempted interference with electronic monitoring devise, domestic violence second offense. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years, 110 hours community service within nine months instead of paying fines/costs of $1,160. Must attend outpatient treatment.

  • Timerly Ann Wiseman-Evans, 31, 209 S. Columbia St., Scottville, was found guilty on Dec. 19 for attempted assault/resisting/obstructing and received a sentence of 7 days in jail, six months discretionary jail for one year, and $580 in fines.

  • Harley Boone Sheldon, 18, 4689 N. Sherman Road, Hamlin Twp., was found guilty on Dec. 20 for failure to display a valid license and received a $275 fine.

  • Michael Aaron Larson, 17, 4089 S. King Hwy., Chase, was found guilty on Dec. 20 for minor in possession of alcohol and received a seven months of probation, must attend Victims’ Impact Panel, must perform 15 hours community service and pay a $275 fine.
