A taste of Ireland from PM Steamers

It’s been almost a week since our photography exhibit, Emerald Expressions, has been on display at the Ludington Area Center of the Arts. Despite the weather we had a great attendance at our opening reception. If you missed it, there are plenty of other opportunities to see the show, it will be up until April 7.

But, if you missed it, you missed some outstanding food. We could not be happier about the wonderful food served by Becky Erickson and her staff at PM Steamers Restaurant. They presented some wonderful cuisine with Irish influence.

When my wife, Becky, and I started planning our reception we knew PM Steamers would be our choice. A few months before our May 2011 trip to Ireland we were having dinner at PM Steamers and started talking to Becky Erickson about it. She told us that she and her husband, Jon, had just gotten back from there and really enjoyed the food there.

I first got a taste of some of this Irish-influenced food last St. Patrick’s Day when PM Steamers served special appetizers.

The food at our reception last Saturday was just a teaser to what is to come. This St. Patrick’s Day, the Ludington Area Center for the Arts is holding The Emerald Ball fund raiser. The event features music by the General Assembly Orchestra, dancing, our photographs and food from PM Steamers.

To find out more about tickets to the Emerald Ball, contact the art center at 231-845-2787 or http://www.ludingtonartscouncil.org. The center is located at 107 S. Harrison St. in Ludington.
