Habitual offender sentenced to prison for meth

LUDINGTON — A 52-year-old man was sentenced to 28 months to 40 years in prison Tuesday, Oct. 28, for convictions of methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and fourth-offense habitual offender, according to court records. David Gene Newman, pleaded guilty to the charges Aug. 26. He received credit for 169 days served in jail and was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.…
