SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central Schools honored Smith & Eddy Insurance today for its support of the school over the past few years. High School Principal Jeff Tuka presented the Scottville-based business with the school’s Public Citizenship Award. Most recently Smith & Eddy, Scottville’s second oldest business, founded in 1902, most recently sponsored the downtown graduate banners. Tuka said businesses are nominated by staff with input from the high school student council.

“We are very thankful for the great relationship MCC schools has with businesses like Smith & Eddy Insurance,” Tuka said.

The award was accepted by Smith & Eddy Owner/Principle Patty Smith, along with employees who are alumni of MCC, including Dean Raven, Ken Terryn, Alisha Christensen, Shelby Personnette, and Michelle Spinner.
