LUDINGTON — Radio station WMOM went off the air today and according to the WMOM Sports Team Facebook page, the move was not an April fool’s joke. The page states that owner Patrick Lopeman was involved in a “serious auto accident last month, which made him re-evaluate his activities in managing the business. With his 70th birthday approaching, he realized he was long past retirement age and couldn’t keep up with the schedule required to operate the radio station.”

The post stated that Lopeman is searching for a new operator of the station, which broadcasts on 102.7 FM.
