LUDINGTON — Michigan, including the Ludington area, will be featured as the cover article in the October issue of Outdoor Photographer magazine, one of the leading photography magazines in America.

Photographing Michigan in autumn is the subject of a story and photographs by Ludington photographers Todd and Brad Reed in Outdoor Photographer. One of the photographs was taken of woodlands along the Lincoln River east of Ludington.

The magazine, which features columnists and contributors who are among the most celebrated names in the photography industry, reaches approximately 1.4 million people monthly through its print and various electronic distribution methods.

The Reeds are known throughout Michigan for their outdoor photography and their national awarding winning books featuring their photography of Michigan. For their most recent book, “Todd and Brad Reed’s Michigan: Wednesdays in the Mitten”, they drove 30,000 miles crisscrossing Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas in search of the obvious and hidden beauty of the Michigan outdoors.

“I have been an avid fan of Outdoor Photographer for several decades,” said Todd Reed. “Many of America’s outdoor photographers we admire the most have shared their artwork and expertise in this magazine.

“We pride ourselves on keeping no photographic secrets,” said Brad Reed. “We are excited to share some of our knowledge about Michigan and outdoor photography with over a million other photographers.  I am so excited for my dad that he got the cover image on Outdoor Photographer.  That has been a dream of his for decades.”
