The Ludington Area Center for the Arts is hosting a new exhibit, Manierre Dawson: Engineer/Artist.  Manierre Dawson, a native of Chicago, lived in Riverton Township in Mason County as a fruit farmer for fifty-five years. Children’s art workshops offered at arts center

The Ludington Area Center for the Arts will offer two Saturday children’s art workshops in late September.  The Center’s Visual Arts Committee has arranged for Fountain artist Ruth Dimmitt to lead area students in the creation of mixed media rubbings and “wood” sculpture.  The resulting “Knot Art” is a playful and expressive experience in sculpture and otherworldly landscapes and portraits.…
