Sports Hall of Fame cancels banquet for second year.

The Mason County Sports Hall of Fame will not hold an in-person induction event/banquet, for the second year in a year. Stating COVID-19 as the reason, the organization’s board of directors instead will pre-record the induction event.

A press release stated: “The Board of Directors has always taken pride in the recognition and honoring of the athletes inducted into the Mason County Sports Hall of Fame.  This year’s format will honor those athletes and their achievements, and provides a lasting memory of the induction, while respecting the health and safety of the honorees and those attending.”

The MCSHOF Class of 2020/2021 consist of, Robert “Bob” Ayers, Adam Johnson, Dave Killips, Dr. Annie (Tewel) Sadosty, Kelly Smith, the 2007 MCC Girls State Volleyball Runner up, and the 1921 League Champion Ludington Mariners professional baseball team.
