Recent arraignments include strangulation charges. 

LUDINGTON — The following were recently arraigned in Mason County’s 79th District Court. 

Felonies

Clampitt

– Brent Daniel Clampitt, 29, of 411 N. Thomas St., Scottville, was arrested on Marcy 18, 2021 by Scottville Police Department, and charged with assault by strangulation, interfering with an electronic communication device, domestic violence. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for March 24, 2021. Bail was set for $10,000 cash. 

Peebles

– Lancelot Christopher Peebles, 23, of 306 E. State St., Scottville, was arrested on March 21, 2021 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with two counts assaulting, resisting, obstructing a police officer and disturbing the peace. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for 4 p.m. on March 31, 2021. Bail, $10,000 cash. 

Brown

– Robert Charles Brown, 35, of 429 Water St., Hart, was arrested March 18, 2021 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with possession of methamphetamine, habitual offender, fourth offense. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for March 24, 2021. Bail, $20,000 cash.  

Esparza

– Eleasar Esparza, Jr., 29, of 5634 W. Johnson Road, Pere Marquette Township, was arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two counts of assaulting, resisting, obstructing a police office, habitual offender, second offense. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for March 24. Bail, $20,000, cash. 

Jolly

– Gregory Alexander Jolly, 28, of 5728 W. Johnson Road, Pere Marquette Township, was arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with domestic violence, third offense, habitual offender. Probable cause hearing was scheduled for March 24, 2021. Bail, $10,000, cash. 

Badgley

– Gregory Paul Badgley, 68, of 1723 Independence Ave., Amber Township, was arrested on March 20, 2021 by MCSO, and charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of liquor, third offense. Probable cause hearing, March 31, 2021 at 2:15 p.m. Bail, $10,000, 10%. 

Michaels

– Nicholas Lee-Scott Michaels, of 25 S. Walhalla Road, Branch Township, was charged with driving while license suspended, carrying a concealed weapon and driving with no vehicle insurance (no security). A probable cause hearing was scheduled for March 24, 2021. Bail, $7,500, 10%. 

 

 

Misdemeanors 

– Jeremy Ray Parker, 41, of 7890 E. Sugar Grove Road, Sheridan Township, was arrested on March 12, 2021 by Ludington Police Department and charged with illegal entry. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 5, 2021. Bail was set at $2,500, personal recognizance. 

– Donald Jacob Beck, 33, of 1017 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office on March 12, 2021 and charged with driving while license suspended and driving with no vehicle insurance (no security). Pretrial conference, 10:15 a.m. on April 5, 2021. Bail, $2,500, personal recognizance. 

– Jesse Allen Totten, 23, of 13544 Caberfae Highway, Apt. 2, Wellston, was arrested by MCSO, and charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, operating without a valid license. Pretrial conference, March 29, 2021, 1 p.m. Bail, $500 cash.
