PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP – A 32-year-old Norton Shores man arrested on a felony drug warrant was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and a dozen $20 counterfeit bills Tuesday, Nov. 26, shortly before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Jebavy Drive and Bryant Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The man was arrested following a reported “suspicious person” in the area, Cole said. “The subject first provided a fake name to deputies. Once his identity was found out, deputies learned of a felony drug warrant out of Norton Shores Police Department. The subject was also found to be in possession of suspected meth, and he had 12 counterfeit $20 bills on him. He remains lodged in the Mason County Jail.”
