Vehicle rear-ends car slowing down for deer.

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP – A 34-year-old Muskegon woman was injured after the vehicle she was operating rear-ended a 2018 Chevy Equinox that had slowed down for a deer in the roadway Tuesday, Nov. 19, shortly after 8 a.m. on northbound US 31 north of Oceana Drive, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Cole said.

  • 7:23 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of Schoenherr Road, Sheridan Township.
  • 1:23 p.m., (MCSO), a 30-year-old Ludington man was cited following a traffic stop for operating without a license, Chauvez and Brye roads, Riverton Township.
  • 4:57 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of Custer Road, Sherman Township.
  • 5:42 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Poplar Road, Custer Township.
  • 6:55 p.m., (MCSO), a ​21-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated with at high blood alcohol content following a traffic stop, US 10 near the entrance to Wendy’s restaurant, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 10:10 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 36-year-old Allegan man was arrested for DWLS, US 10 near Brye Road, Amber Township.
