LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Jason Michael Ogan, 42, of 6574 E. Glen Ln., Sheridan Township, pleaded no contest August 1 to domestic violence and was sentenced to 11 days in jail with credit for 11 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have domestic violence evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; and $535 in fines/costs. May perform 54 hours of community service within four months in lieu of paying fines/costs.

-Jesse Alan Daniel Weppler, 29, of 11769 N. Charloon Rd., Manistee, pleaded guilty August 1 to assault and battery and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have substance abuse evaluation; no contact with victim; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; the BB gun used in the crime must be forfeited and $600 in fines/costs.

-Jeremy Ray Parker, 37, of 2850 E. Millerton Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty August 1 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to 59 days in jail with credit for 59 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; must have substance abuse evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must attend AA two times per week; and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of larceny less than $1,000 was dismissed.

-Eric James Friedley, 40, of 210 E. Danaher St., Ludington, pleaded no contest July 31 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; 12 months of probation and $285 in fiens/costs.

-Anna Marie Blahut, 35, of 5983 W. Pleasant Ridge Dr., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded no contest August 1 to disorderly person – disturbing the peace and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of assault and battery was dismissed.

-Kenyon Clark Thomas, 30, of 3434 E. Millerton Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty July 31 to being a passenger with an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $265 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Richard Lawrence Pfister, 18, of 306 E. Filer St., Apt. 1, Ludington, pleaded guilty July 31 to driving while unlicensed and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must seek and maintain employment; must complete education; and $275 in fines/costs. May perform 28 hours of community service in lieu of paying fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-William Rhody Dwyer, Jr., 26, of 109 E. Foster St., Apt. 11, Ludington, pleaded guilty August 1 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; and $585 in fines/costs. Charges of receiving/concealing stolen property, prowling, and resisting/obstructing police were dismissed.

-Claudio Sanchez, 38, of 569 S. Harvey St., Shelby, pleaded guilty August 1 to deactivating a theft detection device and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; $74 in restitution; and $535 in fines/costs. Charges of third-degree retail fraud and malicious destruction of property were dismissed.

-Elida Valeria Rocha, 38, of 6827 N. 126th Ave., Apt. 6, Hart, pleaded guilty August 1 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $535 in fines/costs.

-Sergio Ramon Escamilla, 24, of 2919 E.  Scout Rd., Hart, pleaded no contest August 1 to second-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; $339.92 in restitution; and $535 in fines/costs.

-Brian Charles Baugus, 28, of 96 N. Dennis Rd., Amber Township, pleaded guilty August 1 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must continue current counseling program; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Alan Michael Kubiak, 50, of 11363 N. Darr Rd., Free Soil Township, pleaded guilty August 3 to operating an ORV while license suspended and was sentenced to pay $285 in fines/costs.

-Kaylee Marie Knudsen, 24, of 301 E. Court St., Apt. 320, Ludington, pleaded guilty August 3 to littering and was sentenced to pay $225 in fines/costs.
