LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently:

51st Circuit Court:

Espinola

Espinola

– Trenton Joseph Espinola, 20, of 807 Loomis St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 9 of safe breaking and sentenced April 12 to two-and-a-half to 15 years in prison with credit for 201 days served and $198 in fines and costs. One count of second-degree home invasion was dismissed. In a separate file, Espinola was found guilty March 8 of delivery/manufacture of marijuana and larceny in a building and sentenced April 12 to one year and five months to four years in prison and $266 in fines and costs. One count of larceny in a building with intent, and one count of second-degree home invasion were dismissed. He was also found guilty of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and sentenced to 201 days in jail with credit for 201 days served and $258 in fines and costs. One count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer was dismissed. All terms run concurrently.

Christian Jonathan Steiger, 23, of 75 N. Stiles Rd., Amber Township, was found guilty April 12 of disorderly person – public intoxication and sentenced to outpatient treatment; $258 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victims; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests. One count of disorderly person/public intoxication was dismissed.

Jonina Lea Alvesteffer, 39, of 5656 S. Eden Lake Rd., Eden Township, was found guilty April 14 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to $335 in fines and costs.

Javier Chavez-Medina, 47, of 822 N. Delia St., Ludington, was found guilty April 12 of failure to stop or identify after an accident and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $515 in fines, costs and restitution. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of reckless driving and one count of assault and battery were dismissed.

Branden Ray Dunblazier, 34, of 505 N. Emily St., Ludington, was found guilty April 12 of operating while impaired and sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); $870 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); outpatient counseling; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Kodie Warren Foley, 18, no address listed, was found guilty April 13 of attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for 32 days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; and $665 in fines and costs. He may perform 30 hours of community service for a $300 credit toward his fines and costs. One count of disorderly person – public intoxication was dismissed.

Dismissals

Troy Andrew Boerma, 44, no address listed, one count of failure to comply with sex offender registration act was dismissed April 14. “Further prosecution in Mason County would violate principles of double jeopardy,” his court file states.

Michael Dale Lashure, 39, of 710 N. Delia St., Ludington, one count of domestic violence was dismissed April 12. “After lengthy consultation with the complaining witness, and per her request, the people will not pursue this matter,” her court file states.

Lindsey Lee Towns, 26, of 362 First St., Manistee, one count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed April 13. “The case was dismissed on the motion of the court with prejudice,” court records state.

Susan Ranae Jones, 35, of 309 ½ E. Danaher St., Ludington, one count of operating without security/no insurance was dismissed April 12. “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charge,” according to court records.

Travis Allen Carr, 18, of 8876 E. Jackson Rd., Walkerville, one count of no insurance and one count of unlawful license plate use were dismissed April 12. “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charge,” according to court records.

Ardian Kapxhiu, 2159 Buckingham Ave., Berkley, Michigan, one count of no insurance was dismissed April 12. “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charge,” according to court records.

Aaron Douglas Trombley, 20, of 972 Quade Rd., Manistee, one count of no insurance was dismissed April 12. “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charge,” according to court records.
