LUDINGTON — The following proceedings occurred recently in 79th District Court:

Felony arraignments

Thomas Edward Spinner, 27, of 1852 E. US-10, Custer Township, was arrested Oct. 1 for felonies of breaking and entering with intent and larceny in a building. Probable cause conference: Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Ryan Allen Tyndall, 29, of 2572 N. Larson Rd., Sherman Township, was arrested Oct. 1 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for felonies of breaking and entering with intent and larceny in a building. Probable cause conference: Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety/10 percent.

Reeyna Bilal-Clinton Burrell, 23, of 410 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 1, Ludington, was arrested Oct. 5 by MCSO for a felony of third-offense domestic violence and second-offense habitual offender. Probable cause conference: Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $5,000/personal.

Michael Kim Brechtelsbauer, 57, of 5502 Circle Dr., Standish, Mich., was arrested Oct. 6 for a felony of third-offense operating while intoxicated. Probable cause conference: Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $7,500/personal.

Sara Lynn Archer, 39, of 3200 Nopaming St., Hessel, Mich., was arrested Oct. 7 by MCSO for a felony of first-degree retail fraud. Preliminary exam: Oct. 14 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/personal.

Sentencing

Kari Anne-Marie Sampson, 25, of 502 E. Dahaner St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 30 of controlled substance – possession of marijuana. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 30 days; $738 in fines and costs; outpatient counseling; and one year discretionary jail for one year. One count of delivery/manufacture of marijuana was dismissed.

Dismissals

Benjamin Lloyd Parker, 32, of 612 N. Lakeshore Dr., Apt. 38, Ludington, one count of third-degree retail fraud dismissed Oct. 6. “Case cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt,” court records state.

Rick Edward Anderson, 52, of 9022 Caberfae Hwy., Manistee, one count of non-sufficient fund check $500 or more was dismissed Sept. 30. “The defendant has paid restitution in full,” court records state. “Further prosecution would not serve the ends of justice.”

Tonya Marie Bates, 34, of 1912 E. Wilson Rd., Custer, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed Sept. 29. “Interests of justice do not require further prosecution of this matter,” court records state.
