HAMLIN TWP. — A 21-year-old Lake In The Woods Ill. man was arrested Friday, July 3, at 11:31 p.m. for open intoxicants, and a 2014 Polaris Razor was impounded after Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies clocked the Razor traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph zone on Jebavy Drive near Fountain Road.  “The vehicle fled deputies but was located in the area of Dewey and Stearns,” states Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole in his daily sheriff’s report.  “The arrested subject claimed to be a passenger, and the vehicle was impounded.”

– 10:18 a.m., boating crash, no injuries, Hamlin Lake near the Ludington State Park boat launch, Hamlin Twp.

– 10:40 a.m., one-vehicle injury crash with injury, Section #30 of Logan Township, a 38-year-old Muskegon man received minor injuries after the off-road motorcycle he was operating left the trail and struck a tree.

– 4:15 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US-10 and Jebavy, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 5 p.m., gas drive off, $40.09 in fuel taken, 400 block of E. US-10 — Scottville EZ Mart, Custer. Twp.

– 5 p.m., gas drive-off, $58.75 in fuel taken, 400 block of E. US-10 — Scottville EZ Mart, Custer Twp.

– 5:07 p.m., Facebook scam/fraud, 5700 block of Johnson, PM Twp., victim’s Facebook was hacked and messages sent out to friends telling them they had qualified for $100,000 in federal grant money and were asked to send $1,500 to cover taxes. One subject sent $85 to cover the taxes.

– 5:30 p.m., boating crash, minor injuries, Hamlin Lake near the Ludington State Park, Hamlin Twp., an MCSO Marine Patrol deputy witnessed two personal watercrafts collide while on patrol. The deputy rendered aid and called for EMS, victim complained of lower back and leg injuries but refused treatment at the scene. Jet skis were being operated by two 14-year-old Ludington boys, and each had a passenger. Case closed.

– 12:04 a.m., domestic assault, 1500 block of W. Countyline, Grant Twp., a 36-year-old Manistee man was arrested following a 911 call to the residence.

– 12:05 a.m., fireworks, 5500 block of King, PM Twp.

– 12:35 a.m., domestic assault arrest, US-10 east of Meyers, Amber Twp., a 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested after he reportedly punched his wife in the face while she drove down US-10.

– 10:17 a.m., larceny, 900 block of S. PM Hwy, PM Twp., two 5’ antique carriage wheels were reportedly stolen.

– 11:03 a.m., warrant arrest, US-10 and Stiles, Amber Twp., a 38-year-old Walkerville was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor out of Muskegon County.
