WSCC to host high school leadership competition

VICTORY TWP. — For the sixth year, Engaging Student Champions (ESC) Leadership Competition will be held on the West Shore Community College’s campus. Individual and team competition will take place in the Technical Center on Friday, March 15, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The college annually hosts the career and technical regional competition showcasing the leadership skill sets of high school juniors and seniors from five West Michigan career centers (Newaygo, West Shore ESD, Traverse Bay Area, Mecosta – Osceola, and Wexford – Missaukee).

Employability and interviewing skills, career related posters, culinary arts, community service, electronic portfolios, and graphic arts are several areas in which the students will compete.
